Derek moved to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee in 2012 to join the Lumberjack Feud Dinner Show Lumberjack Team. He is an ESPN STIHL TimberSports competitor, and world class lumberjack athlete. Derek is an avid hunter, a professional log roller, and a champion tree climber. He has held the Champion IRONJACK title for three consecutive years running.
Lumberjacks Derek and Turbo went to a lumberjack competition in Tyler, Mississippi this past weekend called Sawdust and Splinters. Glad to be back in shows after being gone for so long. The crowds have been great! I forgot how much fun the shows are to be in. I am also getting amped for bow hunting whitetails in Wisconsin!
As the season dies down, road shows are gearing back up. I am excited to be doing demos at this years Govenor’s Conference on Tourism at the Wilderness at the Smokies. We actually get to log roll in the lazy river! Come check us out on September 19th as part of the opening night party. YO HO!

Just got back in town from road shows in Omaha, NE and Milwaukee, WI, where they had 21 inches of snow! I am loving the warm weather and the warm people back in Tennessee! Gearing up for Bristol this weekend where we will have the Lumberjacks at the Speedway doing an exhibition. Come check us out! Yo Ho!
Just finished up with the Omaha Bull of the Woods where I was the champion! It was an honor to win both of the Bull of the Woods this year. Excited to perform at the Bristol Motor Speedway the middle of March. Hope to see some of you there! Yo Ho!

Looking forward to starting up the new show, the changes made this year should be awesome! Just finished doing a show in Des Moines Iowa, were I won the Bull of the Woods title!! All the other competitors there did an awesome job as well.

June 20, 2011 – I have been work up at the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show in Ketchikan, training for the lumberjack world championships. Looking forward to getting down to Pigeon Forge and for the Lumberjack Feud to open up. On a side note the salmon fishing is starting to pick up and the halibut fishing has been great.
