If you have never visited Pigeon Forge in the fall, then you’re missing out! The cooler weather and fall foliage in the Smoky Mountains mean that you can enjoy being outside without those summer heatwaves. So how can you make the most of this time of year? Here are some of the best ways to experience fall in the Smokies!

1. Our Outdoor Pigeon Forge Supper Show

Our feuding families put on one heck of a show all year round, and you’ll be on the edge of your seat the entire time! Watch lumberjacks and lumberjills compete in high-stakes stunts and logger sports, from log rolling, chopping, and climbing to axe-throwing! You can get regular Lumberjack Feud tickets for our standard supper show that’s served campfire style while you enjoy the show, or you can choose to purchase the VIP Pre-Show Experience and get the all-you-can-eat buffet before the show!

2. Fall Football, Brews & Chews

Just because you’re on vacation doesn’t mean you have to miss the big game! Watch your football team on one of the big screens at Smoky Mountain Brewery located in Lumberjack Square next to our dinner show attraction in Pigeon Forge! While you’re cheering on your team, enjoy a full menu of pizza, wings, burgers, and more, and sip on the newest brew on tap, or try one of their seasonal cocktails like the Hard Harvest Punch, made with Jack Fire whiskey, apple cider, cranberry, orange, cinnamon, and nutmeg. It’s autumn in a glass!

3. A Scenic Drive Through Wears Valley

Take the road less traveled and enjoy a beautiful scenic drive along Wears Valley Road! Starting in Pigeon Forge, this 15-mile route leads to nearby Townsend TN. Along the way, you’ll be able to admire the mountain scenery, rolling hills, and fields aflame in the brilliant hues of the autumn colors! The best part is that it’s completely free! There’s also a Wears Valley entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park that’s rarely used– you can bypass traffic and find easy access to popular areas such as Cades Cove, Metcalf Bottoms, Elkmont, and more!

4. A Hayride in Cades Cove

Cades Cove hayrides are available at the riding stables in addition to guided trail rides and carriage rides. It’s a fun way to tour Cades Cove and learn about its history while watching for glimpses of the local wildlife; plus, there’s just something special about a hayride in the fall when the leaves are changing!
