You may not know this, but after the show, you can actually meet the lumberjacks in person! Kids will love seeing their favorite competitors live and in person after the exciting 13-event show they just experienced. Take pictures with the lumberjacks and lumberjills to remember your favorite show in the Smokies!

2. Theater is Outdoors

A unique thing about Paula Deen’s Lumberjack Feud that separates it from other shows is the theater is outdoors. You won’t be inside for this exciting show! You can feel like you’re in the woods with the lumberjacks by being outside. The theater has an overhang, keeping you dry if it rains or snows. The grandstand seating is also climate controlled, keeping you cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

3. The Weather Policy

Since the theater is outdoors, you might be wondering what the weather policy is for the show. The grandstand is covered, keeping you dry from rain and snow and at a comfortable temperature no matter the time of year. Don’t worry about the lumberjacks, though! They’re prepared to go on for the show no matter what. The only time a show will be canceled is if the weather is determined to be too dangerous for the audience and the lumberjacks.

4. Bring in Outside Food

Paula Deen’s Lumberjack Feud doesn’t offer food, but it does offer another perk: you can bring in outside food! Since the theater is outdoors, you’re allowed to bring in your own meals or snacks. Grab a family pack meal from Calhoun’s or some burgers and fries to share from Five Guys. If you don’t want to buy food from a restaurant, you can always swing by the grocery store and get some snacks you know your family likes!

5. Try Some Events Yourself

The Lumberjack Feud has more than just a show. It’s also an adventure park! You can join in the fun you witnessed in the show. At Loggersports, you can try some of the events you just watched, such as the log roll and the boom run. Don’t worry though: You’re harnessed in so you won’t fall into the pool! The High Woodsman Challenge is a high ropes course full of tricks to make you feel like a part of the lumberjack family. At Timber Towers, you can get your adrenaline going with 4 controlled jump elements!

6. Ride the Flying Ox

The newest part of the adventure park is the Flying Ox. This unique ride combines the sensation of a roller coaster with ziplining. You’ll soar over Lumberjack Square along 1,000 feet of track. You can reach a top speed of 15 miles per hour, and you’ll also have great views of the Pigeon Forge Parkway.
